Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly-skilled radiology technologist to join our growing team to administer patient health screenings utilizing current technologies. As a radiology tech, you will work in clinical settings with state of the art medical equipment. Likewise, you will interact with a diverse range of patients. 

Our ideal radiology tech responds to unit requests for patient imaging and communicates results to the on-duty physician. Moreover, you will work as part of a medical team under the direction of a supervising radiologist. To ensure success as a radiology technologist, you must have strong written and oral communication skills to work with various patients and staff members. 

If you are personable, diligent, and trained in the use of multiple scanning modalities, then you could be an excellent candidate for this radiology tech position.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff.
  • Use radiologic imaging to diagnose and treat patients.
  • Explain procedures to patients in layperson’s terms and confirm patient understanding.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of the appointment.
  • Prepare, position, and immobilize patients before conducting scans.
  • Perform radiologic tests to obtain clear and correct body scans.
  • Perform highly complex examinations and general diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures.
  • Assist with lab tests and patient care exams.
  • Follow all radiological safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Notify radiologists of test results and identify results that require immediate attention.
  • Perform front office or medical assisting duties as needed.
  • Handle patient check-in, evaluation, or requisition of medical records.
  • Participate in hiring and training personnel.
  • Operate and maintain highly specialized medical equipment.
  • Notify supervisor of any issues with or malfunctions of equipment.

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma as required
  • Previous Radiologic Technologist experience preferred
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree strongly preferred
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology-R.T. (R) (ARRT) required
  • ARRT-BD-Bone Density certification Preferred within 6 months of hire,
  • Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required
