Job Description:


The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for assisting with management and operation of the clinic. This position assumes full responsibility for the dialysis clinic in the absence of the Facility Administrator.


To be successful as a RN-Med Surg Clinical Coordinator, you should be compassionate toward patients and able to handle stressful situations. Moreover, you must assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment. Ultimately, an outstanding RN-Med Surg Clinical Coordinator you should have an excellent bedside manner, and demonstrate outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  • Works with Administrators on developing optimal staffing and patient schedules.
  • Implements and ensures compliance with all organization standards, guidelines, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Works with the Facility Administrator to maintain chronological, thorough, and appropriate documentation in the patient record.
  • Assists the Facility Administrator with necessary Corrective Action Plan development, implementation and follow up as required.
  • Serves as a resource/subject matter expert for patient needs and issues, staff education and in-service sessions as necessary, working closely with the Educators.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-year clinical RN (ED/ER/Emergency dept) Experience
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required
  • BSN, preferred
  • RN License to practice in Colorado or Kansas as applicable
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association certification required
  • ACLS, ENPC, NIHSS, PALS and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire or transfer
  • ANCC; National Nursing Certification ANCC approved is strongly preferred
