SHIFT: Multiple shifts available

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

Job Summary:

Under the direction of a Staff Pharmacist, assists or supports the pharmacist as needed in all aspects of efficiently dispensing medication, providing accurate service, preparing invoices and bills, ordering and maintaining drugs and medical supplies.

Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical medical supplies and medical equipment required.
• Effective verbal and interpersonal skills are required. 
• Basic computer skills are required. 
• Familiarity with medical terminology, basic math and reading comprehension skills are preferred.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must maintain current registration with the State of practice Board of Pharmacy.
• One year experience as a pharmacy technician, hospital setting preferred.
• IV experience required, IV certification preferred.

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand up for entire shift (8 to 12 hours), to stoop and bend over, to lift moderate loads (up to 30 lbs.). 
• Hearing sufficient to answer telephone and eyesight sufficient to read prescriptions and job orders.
