SHIFT: Day

Job Description:

Under the general direction of the DON and Administrator, the Director of Wellness is responsible for the overall . The Director of Wellness will be involved in planning and coordinating the activates of the nursing team and assist in the day-to-day operations of the facility. The Wellness director must be very passionate about making a difference, and make sure the residents have a wonderful quality of life.

Minimum Education & Experience:

• Two (2) years of experience in a management role and a Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
• Must have and maintain current BLS certification or obtain within orientation process, prior to hands-on patient care.
• Member of at least one (1) professional nursing organization. 
• Two (2) years of clinical experience in specialty area. 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence if required. 
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.
