JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

As the Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management, you will apply your dynamic abilities by:

  • Leading the sourcing and acquisition of profitable senior, multifamily properties that meet the company’s investment criteria.
  • Managing the acquisition, contract negotiation, capital and deal structuring, due diligence and closing processes for acquisition opportunities.
  • Delivering financial and qualitative analysis for new acquisition opportunities, including market analysis, financial models, property valuation, proforma budgets and sensitivity analysis.
  • Performing Asset Management functions to include: construction monitoring, calculating tax credit adjusters, lease-up monitoring, tax credit compliance (in conjunction with in-house expert), facilitating permanent loan conversions, review of financial data (including budgets, monthly and quarterly financial results, and annual audits and tax returns), and insurance monitoring.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or real estate. Master’s in Business/Real Estate preferred.
  • High real estate investment acumen backed by 7+ years of real estate private equity, acquisitions, or relevant transaction-oriented real estate experience. Multifamily experience highly preferred.
  • Experience working for investment banks, private equity firms, large real estate developers, real estate consulting organizations, or similar entities.
  • Capital markets knowledge and the aptitude to evaluate multiple financing and equity structures, and multiple types of real estate documents.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling. Prior experience modeling complex asset-level and / or entity-level real estate transactions, waterfalls, sensitivities, etc.
  • Analytical thinker with the proven ability to understand a complex situation and build a financial model to calculate the impact of various drivers/variables. Thinks critically and draws well-reasoned conclusions.
  • Must be self-motivated and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.
  • Must have high integrity and value fiduciary responsibility.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills both, verbal and written and be known as a “people person”.
  • Advanced presentation and writing skills, with the ability to communicate both high-level and detailed aspects of an acquisition in clear, concise language.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
