Job Description:

A Cardiac Cath Lab Technician is a professional who works in the field of cardiovascular technology. Cath lab technicians are vital team members who assist doctors during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities:

·        You will help in the procedures and cardiac device implantations performed in the Cath/EP Lab

·        You will be the subject matter expert of all invasive procedures and prepare patients appropriately according to policy

·        · Your duties will include circulating, monitoring patients during Cath Lab procedures, and performing sterile scrub procedures for both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, vascular procedures, and other cardiac procedures

·        · You will handle stocking and documenting supplies, patient billing, and coding of procedures

Requirements:

·        High school diploma/GED required.

·        Associates degree preferred

·        Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification OR ARC ALS Certification required

·        Current AHA/ ARC Basic Life Support Certification required

·        RCIS credentials required

·        1 year of experience preferred

·        ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

·        BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
