Job Description:

We are currently looking for a dedicated General Medical Registered Nurse to join our highly skilled medical team in delivering professional care for the comfort and well-being of patients. As a General Medical Registered Nurse, you will be among a team of professionals committed to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care while maintaining the respect, autonomy, and individuality of every patient. You will have the support of your team to ensure optimal patient care and success in your role.

To be a successful General Medical Registered Nurse, you must utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Your goal is to help patients progress towards expected outcomes. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently applying the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
  • Collaborating with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
  • Communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
  • Demonstrating teamwork, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team.
  • Accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing.

Requirements:

  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,
  • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. Upon issuance of a new multistate license, the former license is inactivated. For more information visit Colorado Board of Nursing - Compact Licensure
  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required
  • One year experience preferred
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
