Allied Health – Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)/ Medical Technologist – Sign on Bonus – Full Time, Part Time and PRN – NYS License Required

POSITION TYPE: Allied Health

SPECIALTY UNIT: Clinical Laboratory Scientist - CLS; Micro, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Anatomic Path and Core

LOCATION: White Plains, NY

SHIFT: Days, Evenings and Nights 

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Part- Time and PRN; Permanent  

Current NYS License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist required    

Job Description:

Under general supervision, performs routine, complex or specialized laboratory testing which will aid in the diagnosis and evaluation of the treatment of diseases while maintaining the highest standards of medical technology. They must maintain the highest standards of any and all accrediting agencies. Perform related quality control and clerical work as required.

Responsibilities:

·      Effectively uses laboratory equipment.

·      Performs and reports testing on patient specimens and OC specimens rapidly and without delay.

·      Demonstrates competence in performing testing procedures.

 Requirements:

·      Must be licensed Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Scientist in state of practice

·      ASCP preferred

·      Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred

·      State of Practice Technologist License is required OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process

·      Current NYS License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist required
