Job Summary:

A sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education.

·      The Sleep Technologist works closely with patients to diagnose and determine therapy for a variety of disorders related to sleep.

·      Technologists score sleep data and prepare raw data for physician and/or research interpretation.

Requirements:

·      High School Diploma or GED required.

·      Two (2) Years of experience as a Polysomnographic Tech preferred.

·      Current Polysomnographic Technologist License in state of practice.

·      Certification or registry from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Required. Must hold on of the following: Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential.

·      Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
