POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Registered Nurse


LOCATION: Fort Worth, TX

SHIFT: DAYS, Monday- Friday 6:30am-3:30pm with Call!!!


JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent



Job Description:


As a Special Procedures Technologist, you are responsible for operating the imaging equipment and producing radiographs according to the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. You will assist the radiologist or physician to perform both diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques unique to the Special Procedures environment.



Responsibilities:


  • You will assist with all procedures performed in the Interventional Suite.
  • You will demonstrate proficiency with all equipment within the Interventional Suite

procedure room including but not limited to: Fluoro, Pan Table, Med Rad injector, Monitors, Ultrasound Unit, Control panels for digital acquisition and image transfer.

  • You will Demonstrate sterile technique as appropriate and maintain sterile field while performing scrub position.
  • You will prepare patient and room for exams while managing wires and other multiple components required for procedure.
  • You will perform role of circulator during procedure including pull supplies, altering technique as phase of exam requires, man and operate injector, communicate to patient’s family/unit progress and answer physician calls/pages during procedure.
  • You will provide patient care throughout procedure while explaining the procedure to patient and ensure understanding.
  • You will pull sheath and hold pressure to manage puncture/access site.
  • You will maintain par level of supplies, completing special order requests as needed.
  • Ensures compliance to established conscious sedation policy and procedure.

Requirements:


Qualifications Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • RN Texas License or temporary permit to practice in Texas
  • BCLS/ACLS Certification
  • 1-2 years prior ICU/CCU critical care experience
  • 1-2 years prior experience in Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures preferred
  • Ability to read arrhythmia's and perform all CPR duties

Willing to speak with candidates that don't have recent acute care experience. However, as long as it is not like more than 5 years that they have not been in acute care. 

RECENT ACUTE CARE EXPERIENCE Preferred

CRITICAL CARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


Education Requirements

·         ACLS/RN/Texas board of nursing

·         A Critical Care background

·         Moderate/Conscious Sedation

·         BSN required! ADN WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
