Psychotherapist Needed – School Based (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT)

Growing, well-established group close to Boston seeking a Psychotherapist for one of the public school based health centers. You’ll work Monday through Friday during school hours 8 am to 5 pm and during the summer you’ll work in the clinic which is in the same area as the school. They are looking for an independently licensed practitioner: LICSW, LMHC or LMFT who is fluent in a variety of therapies such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solutions focused therapy, and trauma informed therapy. You’ll be working with teenagers who have a variety of mental health diagnosis such as: anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD and personality disorders. Appointments last for approximately 45 minutes and will be held on site, this is not a remote position.

This position is for someone who is passionate about helping teens work through the challenges that come along with mental health issues and help them develop coping skills that will support their emotional well-being and long-term success.


Some responsibilities include:

·        You can expect to conduct initial assessments to evaluate mental health concerns, identify any underlying issues and develop a treatment plan. 

·        Developing treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of the adolescent client which may include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy or a combination of these three.

·        Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address specific health concerns.

·        Monitor the clients progress throughout the therapy process, adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.

·        Collaborate with other professionals as needed such as psychiatrists, pediatricians, or school counselors to ensure client is receiving the best comprehensive care.

·        Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of therapy sessions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and legal requirements.

·        Engage in health center projects that are aimed at specific patient population needs.


Requirements:

·        Current, active license to practice in Massachusetts as a LMHC, LICSW or LMFT

·        Passion for making a difference in the lives of students.

·        Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

·        Excellent patient and family interaction and time management.

·        Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
