LOCATION: Lynn, MA

SHIFT: Days; 40 hours

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Behavioral Health Advocate to plan and provide assistance to the elderly population regarding reports of abuse/neglect. Coordination of appropriate protective services plans, crisis reports, and compliances.

Responsibilities:

• Completes investigations of the abuse allegations, risks to elders, and their needs
• Completes Competency Evaluations
• Pursues legal counsel and/or advise through legal
• Provides community education
• Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
• Provides appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of patients.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, required
• Knowledge of community resources
• Comfortable with high risk situations
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to comply with all policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity. 
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate.
• Computer literacy is desired.
