Position Summary:

The Scheduling Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Administrative Manager, Radiology or Designee and is responsible for overall clerical/administrative functions in the Radiology Department. The Scheduling Coordinator will work with the Senior Technologist and the Radiologist to ensure the day’s work is in order and prepared for when patients arrive and ensure all follow ups of patients are scheduled in the timeframe established. The Scheduling Coordinator will also schedule and coordinate with the physician’s office.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:

1. Understands and adheres to the client Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors

2. Ensure all phone calls are answered and patients are greeted when they arrive for their scheduled appointments.

3. Schedule and coordinate with the physician’s office and patient navigator (if needed) all biopsies, logs in all outside films to be digitized and returned.

4. Works with the radiologist to adhere and ensure policy and procedures are followed as it relates to ancillary support.

5. Pulls cases for conferences.

6. Run reports for MSQA and ACR (Breast Imaging). Input and verify all BIRADS in the tracking

modular.

7. Maintains patient satisfaction throughout the scheduling process.

8. Rounds on patients to ensure wait times are within normal timeframes.

9. Demonstrates courtesy, cooperation, and professionalism toward patients, co-workers, supervisors, physicians, and all hospital staff.

10. Demonstrates good communication skills and displays an empathetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.

11. Maintains a professional image and follows hospital and departmental dress code at all times.
