Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a licensed professional Psychologist to plan and provide clinical mental health services in an institutional setting. You will provide clinical services, assessments, consultations, program evaluations and staff development in a fast paced corrections facility. The Psychologist will plan and implement all professional psychological service programs of a non-medical nature in the facility.


Responsibilities:

  • Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
  • Provides treatment by developing, implementing and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
  • Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.
  • Provides appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of patients.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an accredited College
  • Must have two (2) years clinical setting, one (1) year in a comparable position.  
  • Ability to comply with all policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate.
  • Computer literacy is desired.
