Job Description:

We are in search of a professional experienced Regional Director of Quality Management to join our team for our hospital and healthcare systems. The regional director will foster cross-functional and system-wide relationships beyond the department of quality and patient safety to be successful in a highly multi-disciplinary and complex role. Using standard of care and infection control metrics, the Regional Director of Quality Management will lead quality teams to ensure a safe and sanitary clinical environment.

Our desire is to hire a Regional Director of Quality Management who is career-driven, has strong management and mentoring skills and a depth of experience in managing comprehensive quality and safety programs - both hospital and outpatient. 


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for researching and recommending the annual quality management objectives. 
  • Facilitates medical staff and other committee meetings that are conducting quality and peer review activities. 
  • Directs the daily activities of the Quality Management Department.
  • Designs the measurement techniques, audits and data reports which evaluate the attainment of the quality objectives of the hospital, region, and system. 
  • Educates the hospital and medical staff on matters related to quality. 
  • Oversees and coordinates the process of regulatory accreditation including preparing and monitoring the hospital staff for a constant state of readiness, compliance with standards, and promoting a culture of safety. 
  • Collaborates with other leaders to develop the strategic direction for the overall delivery of high-quality patient care across the continuum of health care service specifically related to improving organizational performance. 
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, tracking, and reporting of clinical quality of care and patient safety efforts in alignment with the corporate strategies for performance improvement.

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license within state of practice. 
  • Bachelor’s degree of Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.

. Seven years healthcare experience with at least three years’ experience in a leadership role.  Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred.  Previous leadership, program development, budget and productivity, and clinical experience required. Must possess strong human relations and interpersonal skills. 

  • Experience in clinical operations, performance improvement regulatory compliance, patient safety, and data analysis. 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, statistical, and analytical abilities.
