Open Schedule with days, evenings, nights, and weekend rotations

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

Job Summary:

We are in search of a professional Ultrasonographer that will provide skill and initiative to the department mission through interactions with staff, Supervisor, and others as necessary. Primary duties are to work as an Ultrasonographer while also implementing policy and procedures as determined necessary through Supervisor and Radiology Administrative Director.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
• Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. 
• Assists the Radiologist in performing invasive Ultrasound studies using High Level Disinfection technique and Standard Precautions.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. 
• Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.
• Keep exam rooms clean, tidy, and ready for use and follow all high-level disinfection policies and procedures.
• Responsible for making adjustments to the schedule to accommodate emergent exams.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• 3-5 years experience in a high paced environment.
• Experience in Abdominal, Fetal and small parts Sonography.
• Some vascular is a plus.
• Bi-lingual Spanish speaking skills preferred.
• RDMS registration in force and in good standing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
