Job Summary:The Assistant Director of Nursing will organize, direct, and supervise the functions of the telemetry, Medical/Surgical and Medical/Telemetry. This includes policy and procedures are followed; safe staffing levels are maintained; supplies and equipment are at sufficient levels; and efficient patient throughput is managed. This position will engage in ongoing quality and performance improvement and assures employees complete required annual competencies as well as maintain own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure.

Required Education: 

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Associate degree is required

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Required License: 

• Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required

Required Certification: 

• BLS is required within 30 days of hire

• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire

• Professional organization certification is required within 1 year of hire
