Job Title: Outpatient Lymphedema Physical Therapist

Department: Physical Therapy

Reports To: Director of Physical Therapy

Summary:

The Outpatient Lymphedema Physical Therapist is a responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy services to patients with lymphedema. The therapist will evaluate each patient's condition, develop and implement a personalized treatment plan, and provide education and support to the patient and their family.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients with lymphedema to assess their condition, functional limitations, and goals.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include manual lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging, exercise, and education.

Provide patient education on lymphedema management, including self-care techniques and how to prevent complications.

Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide coordinated care for patients.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Participate in continuing education activities to stay current on the latest best practices in lymphedema management.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Current license to practice physical therapy in Pennsylvania

Completion of a lymphedema certification program is required

Experience in treating patients with lymphedema is required

Strong clinical and assessment skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
