Job Description:

The Dialysis Nurse Manager is responsible for dialysis facility management and nursing personnel supervision to ensure safe, efficient dialysis treatments for all patients.


  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate staff schedules while ensuring efficient clinic operations.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Ensure that all hemodialysis treatments at the facility comply with DCI policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement standards of care, following guidelines from ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI's Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, and clinic-specific requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions and assessments for patient care staff in collaboration with the nurse educator.
  • Coordinate the implementation of DCI, QAPI, and risk management programs with the quality and risk manager.
  • Collaborate with the medical director, social worker, dietitian, charge nurses, technical managers, staff nurses, and equipment technicians on patient care initiatives.
  • Integrate unit activities related to patient care, staff education, research projects, and unit expansions with the clinic operations director and medical director.
  • Supervise nursing, social work, dietitian, and technical staff under the guidance of the medical director.
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DCI's policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Work closely with the area operations director to identify and implement operational efficiencies.

Education and Experience:

  • Accredited nursing degree required (BSN, AA, RN).
  • Minimum of six months' dialysis experience required; one year of dialysis experience preferred.
  • At least one year of clinical nursing experience is required.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Current California Registered Nurse license, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
