Schedule: Full-time | No Weekends

About the RoleWe are seeking experienced Emergency Room Nurse Managers to join a high-performing team dedicated to excellence in emergency care. In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations, support staff development, and ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, and timely care.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department in collaboration with leadership.
• Manage resources, staffing, and workload assignments to meet patient needs.
• Interview, hire, evaluate, and support clinical staff.
• Ensure staff licensure, competencies, and mandatory trainings remain current.
• Assist with staff orientation, student training, and volunteer integration.
• Maintain open communication with other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Director.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia RN license (or compact license with VA eligibility).
• Diploma or Associate’s in Nursing required; BSN preferred (or currently enrolled).
• Must have ER management experience.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (must obtain within 1 year if not already certified).
