SHIFT: Days (Hours 7am-4 pm or 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, On Call - One weekend every 2 months from 8 am-4:30 pm)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

Job Description:

We are looking for an empathetic Radiation Therapist to be a member of our oncology team. You will specialize in the planning and execution of radiotherapy treatments. 

To be successful in this role, you must work closely with patients and provide support to them throughout the process by determining their needs, answering questions, and providing the best medical care possible.

Responsibilities:

• Immobilize and simulate treatment fields provided by treatment planning and Radiation Oncologist instructions.  
• Perform radiation treatments to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of Radiation Oncologist.  
• Prepares room and provides education to patients.  
• Review and maintain patient charts and keep accurate patient records. 
• Maintain continue education requirements. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education: Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program is required.
• Experience: None Required.
• License(s): Radiation Therapist License from ARRT.
• Certification(s): BLS Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Radiation Control Program License for Radiation Therapy is required upon hire.
• Computer / Typing: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessaryto complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment.
