Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursing Director to lead our Med-Surg Oncology department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring quality patient care, and leading a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive performance improvement, implement best practices, and maintain regulatory compliance within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Med-Surg Oncology nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the department to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute comprehensive care plans for oncology patients.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies to improve care delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing to optimize operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment through mentorship, professional development, and performance evaluations.
- Stay current with advancements in oncology care and incorporate evidence-based practices into departmental operations.
- Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives to promote organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and their families.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Active Registered Nurse licensed within State of practice.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
