Laboratory Supervisor – Immunology

SHIFT: Day – Mon-Fri alternating weekends and holidays

Are you a passionate and experienced laboratory professional looking to make a real impact?
We’re seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Supervisor to join our dedicated team. In this leadership role, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the Chemistry and Immunology laboratories deliver the highest quality testing while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all aspects of the Chemistry and Immunology labs, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of scientists, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Champion continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Collaborate with physicians on interpreting test results and recommending follow-up actions.
- Develop and implement effective laboratory workflows and utilize laboratory software efficiently.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment for staff and patients.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in laboratory medicine.
- Participate in hospital committees and task forces to drive positive change.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Technology or a related science with a minimum of 6 years of relevant hospital experience (Master’s degree in Clinical Chemistry preferred).
- ASCP or NCA certification (preferred).
- Current NYS licensure or eligibility for licensure required.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
