Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as the Director of Materials Management, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and effective supply chain operations within our healthcare facility. We are seeking a strategic leader who can oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies essential for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the materials management department in alignment with hospital goals and objectives.
- Manage the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchasing of supplies and equipment.
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess, driving cost efficiencies, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to forecast supply needs and ensure timely availability of essential items.
- Oversee the distribution and logistics of supplies throughout the hospital, including central supply, warehouses, and satellite locations.
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead a team of materials management professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of Five (5) years of Supervisor experience in supply chain operations in a healthcare setting.
- Must have knowledge of GPO agreements.
- Certification in Materials and Resources Professional (DMRP) preferred.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving departmental and organizational objectives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards related to materials management and supply chain practices.
