Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Healthcare Buyer to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining efficient procurement processes and ensuring that our healthcare facility has the necessary medical and non-medical supplies to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Workday ERP System Financial Module and a strong background in healthcare procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement process for medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and services in alignment with the facility's needs and budgetary constraints.
• Utilize the Workday ERP System Financial Module to process purchase orders, track inventory levels, and manage supplier relationships.
• Conduct market research and evaluate supplier performance to ensure cost-effective and high-quality procurement.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to forecast supply needs and develop procurement strategies.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze procurement data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Address and resolve any issues related to procurement, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications in the Workday system.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. – Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a healthcare purchasing setting with the ability to analyze price/costs on a wide range of products and services.
• Prior experience with computerized purchasing/inventory management systems.
• Evaluate purchase history and cost variances to understand changes in usage 
• Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain requirements and procurement best practices.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, generate reports, review contracts and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Advanced PC skills and MS Office applications.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
