We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs to restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent disability for patients with orthopedic conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients with musculoskeletal disorders, injuries, and post-surgical conditions to determine their physical therapy needs.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and function while reducing pain and preventing further injury.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other interventions to achieve treatment goals.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the diagnosis, treatment plan, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly reassess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support throughout their rehabilitation process.
- Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in orthopedic physical therapy through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Community Outreach: Participate in community events and programs to promote physical therapy services and educate the public on the benefits of orthopedic rehabilitation.
Qualifications:
- Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
- Current California state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.
