Job Description & Responsibilities:

The Lab Supervisor provides direct supervision of the daily operations of the laboratory section and/or area. 

• The supervisor will oversee and efficiently perform procedures and test as ordered for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. 
• The supervisor will oversee that the maintenance of the analyzers, quality control, collection of specimens, maintaining of supplies in accordance with standards of practice and established policy and procedure. 
• The supervisor will provide recommendations and action plans for the improvement of system processes in their section and/or area.

Requirements:

• 3 years of Chemistry experience is required. (Experience must be within the last year & in an acute care hospital setting).
• No supervisor experience is required but would require lead experience.
• ASCP or AMT Certification is required.
• MUST have MLS/ MT along with ASCP/AMT.
• Will NOT consider MLT certification.
