Job Title: RN Inpatient Surgical Unit

Location: Gainesville, FL

Shift: Nights( Rotational Weekend)

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the surgical unit, including preoperative and postoperative care.
• Assessment & Monitoring: Regularly assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Medication Administration: Safely administer medications, including pain management, and ensure accurate documentation of all treatments.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, postoperative care, and discharge instructions.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a surgical or acute care setting.
• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand and walk for extended periods.
