About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Manager to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the 24-hour management of the Emergency Department, ensuring that patient care consistently meets the highest standards in this fast-paced, critical care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare standards and regulations, particularly those pertaining to emergency care
• Manage and mentor emergency nursing staff, promoting professional development and maintaining a positive work environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes in emergency situations
• Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives specific to emergency care
• Manage department resources effectively, including budget and staffing
• Coordinate with other hospital departments for smooth patient flow and transfer

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current RN license in State of Nevada
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• 2+ to 5 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in an emergency care setting
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills in emergency care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for high-stress environments
• Ability to work and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic emergency healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field
• Additional certifications relevant to emergency care (e.g., CEN, CCRN)
• Experience with emergency department-specific electronic health records systems

Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $101,500 to $134,488 USD annually
• Not eligible for commission, bonus, or overtime pay
