Director, Outpatient Cancer Center
LOCATION: Missoula, MT
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for oncology services, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical protocols.
- Stay current with advances in oncology to integrate new techniques and treatments as appropriate.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Manage the financial aspects of the oncology service line, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control.
- Ensure financial performance aligns with the organization’s goals and operational standards.
- Director roles are house-wide, functional and multidisciplinary and service-oriented.
- Emphasizes teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
- Prioritizes patient-centered care, ensuring that services meet the needs and expectations of patients and their families.
- Addresses patient concerns and feedback to continuously improve service quality.
- Develops and implements strategies to advance the oncology service line in alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Delegates tasks and responsibilities effectively to team members, ensuring that duties are performed efficiently and effectively.
- Upholds the established leadership principles, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and integrity.
- Accepts leadership as a sacred trust and exhibits a pride of ownership, customer focused, strategically oriented, demonstrated teamwork, and delegates appropriately.
Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
- Master degree in Nursing, Business, Leadership/Management or Healthcare related field preferred.
- Must be licensed as an RN in the state of Montana.
- 5 years of experience as an RN in a clinical role.
- 5 years of leadership experience required.
- Leadership courses through continuing education conferences.
- Demonstrated success with teambuilding, collaborative work with physicians, project management, and process improvement projects.
- Proficient in English.
- Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required.
