Job Description: RN Apheresis (TCT Registered Nurse Apheresis Oncology)

Available Shifts: Days (Rotating Weekends) 

Full Time

Sign ON Bonus: $20k 

Responsibilities:

• Perform apheresis procedures, including stem cell collection and therapeutic apheresis, for oncology patients undergoing TCT (Transplantation and Cellular Therapy).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and hematology/oncology specialists, to ensure safe and effective patient care during apheresis procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients throughout the apheresis process, addressing any complications and providing necessary interventions.
• Educate patients and their families on apheresis procedures, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to ensure understanding and adherence.
• Maintain and operate specialized apheresis equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Document patient assessments, procedures, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system, following institutional protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• 1 year of recent (within the last year) acute care experience. Looking for someone that has acute care Oncology experience, Dialysis, or infusion. * Highly Prefer candidates with Recent Acute Care Experience working within a “Transplant & Cellular Therapy (TCT) / Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) / Blood and Marrow transplant program
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant clinical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in oncology, hematology, or apheresis.
• Experience in performing apheresis procedures, particularly stem cell collection, is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced oncology environment.
