Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Primary Care department. The Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, as well as providing medical care to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management and operations of the Primary Care department, including staffing, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide medical care to patients, including diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, APP's and nurses, to provide coordinated care for patients.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the department, ensuring that they are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Stay current with the latest developments in Primary care medicine by participating in continuing medical education and professional development opportunities.
• Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of Primary care medicine.
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of department staff.

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Internal or Family Medicine
• Active Medical License in Delaware
• Minimum 1 year in Geriatrics
• Must have previous supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of urgent care medicine, including diagnostic techniques and treatment options.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
