Job Title: Med-Surg Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Shift Details:

·         Days (Rotating Weekends): 7a-7p

·         Nights (Rotating Weekends): 7p-7a

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Med-Surg Oncology unit, ensuring adherence to individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other cancer treatments, following safety protocols.
• Monitor patient symptoms, side effects, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, symptom management, and post-care instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical records system.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Med-Surg or Oncology nursing.
• Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy administration and cancer care protocols.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
