Job Title: CVOR RN (Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular surgery, possess excellent clinical skills, and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment. As a CVOR RN, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the operating room, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients prior to surgery, review medical history, and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, passing instruments, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Provide post-operative care, monitor patients in the recovery room, and ensure proper pain management and recovery protocols.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients’ needs are met and their safety is prioritized throughout the surgical process.
- Accurately document patient information, surgical procedures, and post-operative care in medical records.
- Work closely with surgeons, anaesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, post-operative care, and recovery expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
1 year of Open Heart (CVOR) RN experience in an Acute Care environment Required!
· Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
· BSN is preferred
· BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare provider) required
· CNOR preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move patients or equipment as necessary.
- Manual dexterity to handle surgical instruments and equipment.
Working Conditions:

- Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
