LOCATION: Vancouver, Washington

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

This position is in a newly-constructed behavioral healthcare facility.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the nursing management team to ensure effective operations and quality care.
• Support the organization's, program's, and unit's philosophy of care.
• Prepare monthly reports to track progress and provide updates on performance and operations.
• Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees to ensure clear communication and coordination.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a post-graduate degree in nursing or a related field (e.g., healthcare or business administration); or equivalent knowledge and skills, or a written plan to obtain these qualifications.
• Licensure: A current, unencumbered nursing license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
• Certifications: CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) required within 30 days of employment and before patient contact.
• Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with a preference for experience in chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients. Skills in patient assessments, family dynamics, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations are essential.
• Leadership experience is strongly preferred.
