Job Description:
Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in hospice care? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a RN Hospice Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration and operations of our hospice program, ensuring the highest level of care and support for our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the hospice program, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and quality standards. Develop and implement effective operational processes and protocols.
- Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of skilled healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, and support staff. Foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth and development.
- Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans. Ensure the delivery of comprehensive, compassionate, and holistic care to patients throughout their hospice journey.
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Family and Community Support: Offer guidance and emotional support to patients' families, providing education and resources to help them navigate the hospice process. Develop strong relationships with community organizations and healthcare providers to enhance collaboration and access to services.
- Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the hospice program budget, ensuring the efficient utilization of resources. Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support program growth and sustainability.
- Continuous Education: Stay up to date with advancements in hospice care, regulatory changes, and best practices. Provide ongoing education and training to staff to ensure their competency and enhance the quality of care provided.

Requirements:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license within State of practice.
- Associate degree in nursing required – Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hospice or palliative care, with demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and community partners.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and maintain confidentiality.
