Job Summary:
- Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery? We are seeking a dedicated Therapist (Residential Treatment) to join our healthcare team. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive treatment to patients struggling with substance use and addiction by providing specialized mental health &/or alcohol and other drug services to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine the nature and severity of substance use disorders in patients.
- Write, revise and advocate for successful ASAM reports with Managed Care Organizations to obtain authorization for treatment.
- Able to work in men’s or women’s residential treatment programs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the unique needs and goals of each patient, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Provide individual counseling sessions to clients, addressing their addiction issues, underlying causes, and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, offering a safe and supportive environment for clients to share their experiences and learn from one another.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of chemical dependency treatment through continuous professional development and training opportunities.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and promote best practices.

Requirements:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) - fluent for this role clinically and there will be some assessment in their interview.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology or related fields with 3-5 years of related experience. Required.
- Must have LISW, LPCC, LICDC or IMFT. Required.
- Maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR, as needed per program requirements. Required.
- Must have strong understanding of addiction and mental illness. Must be able to form effective working and therapeutic relationships.
- Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds including those with criminal justice involvement.
- Must be knowledgeable and responsive to cultural diversity issues presented in the coordination of services.
- Good working knowledge of computers with familiarity of Microsoft Office software. EMR
