Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and caring Veterinary Medical Director. As the Medical Director, you will be a crucial leader in our practice, overseeing all clinical operations while ensuring excellent medical care. This role is ideal for a seasoned veterinarian with a passion for leadership and collaboration, who is ready to mentor a team of veterinary professionals and contribute to the long-term success of the clinic. You will split your time between clinical duties and leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the veterinary team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Ensure the highest level of medical care is provided to all patients.
- Develop and implement medical protocols and standards.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Serve as a key advisor in hiring, training, and mentoring veterinary staff.
- Collaborate with the practice manager on operational and financial management.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure proper usage of resources.
- Stay current with advances in veterinary medicine and integrate them into practice.
- Engage with clients to provide excellent communication and care.

Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine within State of Practice
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License within State of Practice.
- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and culture.
