Care Management Manager
Department/Location: Care Management
Reports to: Administrative Director, Care Management
Shift: Day | Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 4:30PM with on-call rotation/weekend rotation
Position Summary:
The Care Management Manager oversees the operations of the Care Management department, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives aligned with hospital mission and vision.
- Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve quality metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team of care managers.
- Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams, community agencies, and payers.
- Financial Management: Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Active RN license required.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in an acute care setting.
- Previous experience as a case manager required.
- Knowledge of healthcare finance, regulatory, and payer issues.
- Proficiency in Millimen/Interqual criteria.
- Strong computer skills.
- Certifications (e.g., C.C.M., PRI/Screen) preferred.
