Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Clinical Manager to lead our Abdominal Transplant team. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring quality patient care, and fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff. The RN Clinical Manager will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for transplant patients. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in abdominal transplant care, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellence in healthcare.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Oversee the day-to-day operations of the abdominal transplant unit.

·        Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing and support staff.

·        Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.

·        Lead by example, promoting a culture of patient-centered care, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

·        Ensure the highest standards of care for transplant patients, from pre-operative preparation to post-operative recovery.

·        Monitor patient care to ensure adherence to established protocols and best practices.

·        Facilitate seamless coordination of patient care across multiple disciplines.

·        Address complex patient care needs and intervene when necessary to ensure positive outcomes.

·        Implement and monitor compliance with clinical standards, policies, and regulations (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission).

·        Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices in transplant nursing care.

·        Ensure that all care is provided in a safe, cost-effective, and timely manner.

·        Monitor patient outcomes and work to improve metrics related to patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical performance.

·        Support ongoing staff education and professional development.

·        Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide constructive feedback.

·        Facilitate in-service training programs and ensure staff remain current on the latest transplant care practices and technologies.

·        Serve as a resource and advocate for transplant patients and their families.

·        Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding the transplant process, potential complications, and post-transplant care.

·        Promote a compassionate environment, addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of transplant patients.

Requirements:

·        Current RN license in State of Practice.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

·        Certification in Transplant Nursing (CCTN) is preferred.

·        Minimum of 3+ years of experience in transplant, critical care, or a related specialty.

·        Minimum 2+ years in a leadership or management role.

·        Strong background in abdominal transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas) care preferred.

·        Must have 2+ years of Acute Care and Med Surge experience.

·        Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

·        Excellent clinical skills in transplant care.

·        Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

·        Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

·        Ability to handle high-stress situations and make quick, effective decisions.

·        Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices in transplant care.
