Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Resource Specialist Registered Nurse to join our esteemed Abdominal (Kidney) Transplant team. This role combines clinical expertise with a passion for teaching, ensuring our staff and patients receive top-tier education to enhance transplant care outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, ongoing professional development, and specialized training in kidney transplant care.
- Act as a clinical resource and mentor, fostering evidence-based practice and knowledge sharing among the care team.
- Coordinate and deliver patient and family education, addressing topics such as pre-operative preparation, post-operative care, and long-term transplant health management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and maintain educational materials, ensuring alignment with current transplant guidelines and best practices.
- Analyze staff performance metrics and patient outcomes to identify and address knowledge gaps or training needs.
- Stay informed on advancements in kidney transplant care, integrating new research and innovations into educational programs.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care services.
- Ensure all educational content meets accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support compliance with hospital policies and procedures related to transplant care.

Requirements:
- Current or Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in State of practice.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Minimum 3+ years of kidney transplant coordinator experience required.
- Minimum 1+ years of leadership/supervisor role experience.
- Prior experience in educational roles or staff development preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge of abdominal (kidney) transplant procedures and patient care.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging, learner-centered educational materials and programs.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and education technology tools
- Knowledge of Epic, OPTN, & CSM Guidelines.
