Job Description:

Psychiatric nurses work as registered nurses to care for and support patients who have mental disabilities. Psychiatric nurses evaluate the needs of their patients, and they administer treatments and therapies that allow these patients to function as normally as possible. We are looking for a passionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our elite team of healthcare professionals and make a difference, one patient at a time.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluating the mental health needs of patients.
• Developing treatment plans.
• Providing psychotherapy services.
• Providing personal care.
• Coordinating with families, doctors, and other health professionals.
• Administering medications.
• Observing and recording patient behavior.
• Performing physical exams and diagnostic tests.
• Collecting patient health histories.
• Counseling patients and their families.
• Educating patients about treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Current RN license as required by state 
• Associate Degree in Nursing. 
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
• A minimum of two (2) years of recent acute psychiatric experience or certification from an accredited psychiatric program.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
