Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule: Full-Time, Evening, Varied Shifts

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for experienced technicians

Position Summary:

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our dedicated team. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective preparation of surgical instruments and equipment for patient care. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, clean, and assemble surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, washers, and ultrasonic cleaners.
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate sterilization methods.
• Inspect and test instruments for functionality and cleanliness.
• Package and label sterilized items accurately.
• Store and distribute sterilized supplies to various hospital departments.
• Maintain accurate records of all processing activities.
• Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Central Supply Processing Department Technician (CSPDT) certification required.
• Previous experience in a Central Sterile Processing department or Operating Room preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
