Job Description:
We are currently looking for an RN-CVICU nurse to be a part of our team of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals at providing the very best care for our patients. Working in a highly technical, fast-paced Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit is one of the most challenging areas for a registered nurse. You will be dealing with patients that are critically ill or unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life-threatening diseases.
Our ideal RN-CVICU candidate must be able to provide the highest level of quality care while working under pressure in a wide variety of settings and specialties. Likewise, you must be able to communicate clearly and openly build relationships that promote a collaborative environment. You will also be accountable for your performance and take initiative for your professional growth.
As an RN-CVICU, you are expected to implement the safest, most cost-effective, and total nursing to all our patients. Furthermore, you will assume responsibility for the overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. On top of that, you will direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, and look for ways to improve the patient experience while being engaged and eager to build a winning team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide constant, direct attention to those under your care.
- Responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient's individual physician.
- Monitor the condition of the patients and assess their needs to ensure they are healthy.
- Administer medications, provide treatments according to physicians' orders, and monitor the patient's reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health and treatment, current document progress, and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals involved.
- Collaborate with physicians and other nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
- Assist in planning further care and the discharge process.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an RN in a clinical setting.
- Active RN license within the State of practice.
- Current certifications (variable depending on the facility).
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to make life-or-death decisions and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Should be a team player but also able to work independently.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Passion for excellence in critical care medicine.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
