Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) – NICU
SPECIALTY UNIT: Neonatal Intensive Care

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited clinical nurse specialist program and be committed to enhancing patient care through evidence-based practice and advanced clinical expertise. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical guidance and consultation to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in your area of specialty.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects to enhance patient outcomes.
- Mentor and educate nursing staff, helping elevate the clinical skills and competencies of the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care policies and protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- Current Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Current certification in area of specialty (i.e., CEN, CCRN) upon hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of Registered Nursing experience in the area of specialty.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical leadership responsibility.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: USD $123,244 to $194,572
