Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The CT Tech will be responsible for operating CT scanners, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. The ideal candidate will have experience in radiologic technology, strong attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
• Prepare patients for scans by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
• Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images.
• Operate CT scanners and adjust settings for proper image quality.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate results.
• Maintain patient records and document scan findings in the system.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions.
• Administer contrast media when necessary, following proper protocols.
• Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.

Qualifications

·     One year of CT experience REQUIRED. Candidates DO NOT need to have acute care experience for HCA Fort Walton-Destin Hospital. However, for the FSED opportunities they need to have acute care experience

·     Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

·     Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) & (CT) registry preferred

·     Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist

·     Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology School
