CAM Manager
Location: Tampa
Position Status: Full Time
Salary: 70-80k with 10% management bonus

Position Summary
The CAM Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) department at our Tampa dental laboratory. This role manages a team of CAM Technicians and directs workflow across all CAM areas, including scanning, milling, sintering, 3D printing, and the production of 3D printed dentures. The manager also supervises all removable fabrication processes in Tampa
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of CAM Technicians, providing ongoing support and conducting performance evaluations to ensure high skill levels and productivity
- Supervise all CAM production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and cost efficiency
- Stay current with advancements in CAM, 3D printing, design, and removable technologies; implement new processes and technologies to optimize efficiency and product quality
- Collaborate with other departments to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions that enhance product offerings
- Manage case flow to ensure timely completion and shipping of all cases
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, including PPE standards, and properly investigating and reporting work-related incidents.
- Oversee end-of-day production procedures, ensuring completion within management-established timeframes
- Monitor daily tasks of team members to maximize productivity 13.
- Maintain cleaning and preventive maintenance schedules, monitor inventory, and order necessary supplies for the production floor.
- Conduct daily audits to ensure all cases are current and accurately tracked.
- Resolve issues with cases in fabrication (Problem List)
- Manage equipment repairs and replacements as needed.
- Approve payroll and manage PTO requests for assigned employees.
- Oversee department staffing, including interviewing, hiring, training, cross-training, and conducting annual evaluations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in CAM operations or dental laboratory management
- Previous leadership experience in a dental laboratory environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to foster and maintain a positive work environment
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, or similar software systems
- Experience with data input using scanning systems
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately
- Proficient in relevant CAM software technologies
