Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Schedule: Full-Time, Days
Salary Range: $40-$60.5/hr
Position Summary:
Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including:
- Patient Preparation: Preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any concerns.
- Image Acquisition: Operating and maintaining imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
- Quality Assurance: Performing equipment quality control checks and calibrations.
- Patient Care: Providing compassionate and professional care to patients of all ages.
- Collaboration: Assisting radiologists during procedures and communicating effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Safety: Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and the environment.
Essential Functions:
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including cameras, spectrometers, and related devices.
- Analyze images for quality and completeness, ensuring accurate diagnoses.
- Assist physicians during procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the work environment.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Nuclear Medicine Technologist must be a graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or equivalent
- ARRT – NMTCB required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
