SR NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST – SIGN-ON BONUS!
LOCATION: Missoula, MT
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
The Technologist performs radiographic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist, operating independently without continuous supervision. This role requires sound judgment, resourcefulness, and initiative to administer prescribed ionizing radiation using radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging, whether in scheduled or emergency settings, and while ensuring compliance with established radiation safety protocols. Responsibilities also include participation in clinical duties, including call coverage, within Nuclear Medicine and PET services.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, required upon hire.
- Familiarity and experience with established procedures and clinical protocols in Nuclear Medicine.
- Coursework/Training specific to the handling of FDG and operation of PET scanner, preferred.
