Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-pressure emergency department. You will be responsible for triaging, assessing, and treating patients ranging from minor injuries to critically ill individuals. Successful candidates must be quick thinkers, decision-makers, and adept at multitasking, while maintaining focus on providing excellent care to patients and collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and Assess: Evaluate and prioritize patients of all ages, ensuring appropriate care.
- Patient Care Plans: Develop individualized care plans based on expected outcomes, ensuring the needs of each patient are met.
- Simultaneous Case Management: Manage multiple cases simultaneously, providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work with physicians and other healthcare departments to ensure coordinated care and patient safety at all times.
- Follow-Up Care: Provide patients with follow-up care instructions and referrals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ER RN experience required.
- License: Florida RN license or multi-state compact RN license (must apply for Florida RN license if relocating).
- Education: Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to employment.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required within 90 days of employment.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of employment.
